Google has designated International Women’s Day with an animated Doodle honoring women from all around the globe.
International Women's Day 2014 has the motif 'inspiring change' and celebrates the cultural, political and economic accomplishments of women, while paying attention on areas that continue to need further more actions.
Google's Doodle signifies the day by featuring more than 100 women from all 4 corners of the world in a 80 second video. Some of the women featured include well known figures such as Malala Yousafzai and - Bizarrely - children's character Dora the Explorer, who all say "Happy International Women's Day" in numerous languages.
It was honored for the first time in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland on 19 March, where more than one million men and women attended rallies campaigning for women's liberties to work, vote, be experienced, to hold public office and end discrimination.
The United Nations has its unique recognized motif each year. Their motif for 2014 is "Equality for Women is Progress for all".
